Au Projects

GOHKRAN of Russia

Arbitration Laboratory (still classified information).

Moscow Plant for Special Alloys

Moscow Plant for Special Alloys (MZSS) , Russia – (Inter System Cross
Reference Analysis) ISCRA analytical system– MZSS produces precious metals alloys for Russia’s Mint, jewelry
and electronic industries. Required
super accurate cross-references analysis and Intertech supplied Plasma, DC-Ark, Atomic Absorption linked spectroscopy system.

First Ever Gold Plant in Ukraine

Based on small, polymetallic deposit discovered in Transcarpatia (near Mukachevo). This region is extremely ecologically sensitive and the process was not allowed to use any chemicals. Intertech has designed a gravity-only plant producing 400 kg of Au per year at 60% capacity.

Polyus Gold, Russia

Complete turn-key laboratory for core analysis at the large-scale geological exploration for Natalka deposit in the Kolyma region.

Ukraine Assay Service

Joint project with the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) where Intertech supplied high-tech laboratory and RCM procedures, precious metals standards, and training.

Fire Assay and Au Certification Laboratories

Supplied to Prioksky, Novosibirsky, and Shcholkovo gold refineries, Russia.

Kara Balta Kombinat in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

Part of the refinery and new fire assay laboratory for refining gold from Centerra’s Kumtor deposit.

Vostokredmet, Karamazar, Chkalovsk, Tajikistan

Arbitration Laboratory for northern Tajikistan Au/Ag mining operations.

Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Complex, Uzbekistan

Turn-key, self-contained intensive gravity pilot plant for testing ores from different deposits in the region.

Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Complex – Marzhanbulak Gold Plant, Uzbekistan

Large industrial facility processing local ore. Involves a wide range of technologies including intensive gravity, cyanide, autoclave leaching, etc.

Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Complex, Uzbekistan

Process control laboratories in Navoi, Zarafshan, and Uchkuduk facilities.

Kazakhmys, Kazakhstan

Wide range of analytical projects for the base, precious, and rare earth metals.

Tselinny Mining-and-Metallurgical Kombinat, Stepnogorsk, Kazakhstan

Part of Au refining process and all laboratories. Despite vigorous lobbying by Tselinny, main refining rights were granted by the Government to Ust-Kamenogorsk Lead-Zinc Smelter and Balkhash Copper Smelting Complex (Kazakhmys). Tselinny had settled with refining their by-product gold from Uranium mining.

Kolyma Gold Refinery

A turn-key plant near Magadan, Russia.
The plant was designed to produce 25-30 tons per year of 999.9 purity gold.
During 17 years of operation KAZ on their own has increased output to 30-35 tons of Au and developed Ag capability to produce 250 tons of Ag per year. Thus, the total value of refined metals has exceeded 1.3 billion USD/year at today’s metal prices. The refinery is employing conventional Aqua Regia plus electrolysis for low Ag materials and the Miller process for high Ag contents. The suppliers of placer and/or Doré are from diverse operations in Magadan region, Yakutia, Chukotka (including Kinross) and as far as Kamchatka.

Organized and Guided Navoi Mining-and-Metallurgical Complex, Kolyma Gold Refinery, and Krastsvetmet.

It is worth to mention that my company has organized and guided Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Complex (Uzbekistan), Kolyma Gold Refinery (Russia) and Krastsvetmet (Russia) through the process of obtaining Good Delivery status from the certification system of London Metal Exchange. Following our established pattern, the remaining Au refineries (Novosibirsk, Prioksky and Shcholkovo, Russia) received Certifications on their own.

Statistical Highlight

We take particular pride in the statistics showing that over 80% of all precious metals produced in CIS (Pt, Pd, Au, Ag) are certified for the sale to foreign exchanges (LME, Zurich) in the laboratories supplied by Intertech.
