Automated Intensive Gravity System

Pt and Pd recovery at Norilsk concentrator, Russia. The system is removing 4-6 tons of free Pt/Pd metals in a primary stage preventing down-stream losses.

Norilsk Nickel

Self-contained technological flotation laboratory for testing various materials from Norilsk and Talnakh concentrators, Russia.

Octogon System

Complete technology and equipment for lifting (floating
dredges) and recovery of Pt and Pd (by centrifugal intensive gravity) from Norilsk’s Tailing Pond No.1, Russia. The system is processing 5 million tons of tailings per year. (This system is ordered by an independent from Norilsk Nickel contractor).

Replacement of Lab Equipment

Complete replacement of laboratory equipment in all major Norilsk Nickel operations, Russia (Zapolyarnyi, Pechenganickel, Severonickel, and Krastsvetmet). This $9.5 million project covered over 100 high-tech analytical instruments and fire assay laboratories.

Modernization of Laboratories

Complete modernization of laboratories in Krastsvetmet, Russia (the entire laboratory building was stripped – walls, floors, and ceilings, furnished with new materials shipped from the US including electrical, plumbing, ventilation, alarm systems, and of course, laboratory analytical equipment).

Tolling of Impala Platinum

In addition to engineering and supplying mineral processing plants to the NN and Krastsvetmet I personally arranged the tolling of Impala Platinum (South Africa) Pt/Pd concentrates in Krastsvetmet, Russia. Every month for several years a cargo plane was bringing Pt/Pd concentrates from Johannesburg to Krasnoyarsk, and taking back refined metals. Under this tolling agreement, Krastsvetment was able to keep free of charge all satellite metals – Os, Ir, Rh, and Au what was quite unique for tolling agreements.
