Ukraine - Zakarpatpolymetally, Muzhievskaya Gold Recovery Plant, Muzhievo, Transcarpatia
Location: Transcarpatia (near Mukachevo Ukraine, Zakapattia Oblast. (48o09”N 22o46”E)
The only gold deposit in Ukraine with proven reserves, allowing Ukraine to be considered a gold-mining country.
First-ever gold plant in Ukraine based on a small polymetallic deposit discovered in Transcarpatia (near Mukachevo). This region is extremely ecologically sensitive and the process was not allowed to use any chemicals. Intertech has designed and supplied gravity-only plants producing 400 kg of Au per year at 60% capacity exclusively utilizing enhanced gravity recovery.
After typical crushing, grinding, and classification the process employs a 30-inch gravity concentrator for primary recovery and two 20-inch gravity concentrators for the scavenger circuit. The total recovery varies between 80 and 90% of free gold depending on the incoming ore. The concentrate is then treated on Gemini concentrating table, yielding high gold concentrate (over 60% of gold), which is melted with fluxes in an electric furnace to produce Doré alloy. The plant designed, manufactured in the U.S., and assembled in Ukraine within 5 months.
