Angarsk Electrochemical Plant, Russia – Complete Reconstruction and Renovation of Laboratories

Founded in 1954, AECC produces enriched uranium for the nuclear power industry.

Location: Angarsk, Irkutsk Region, Russian Federation (52o28’N 103o52’E); South-West Irkutsk Region, 45km from Irkutsk and 110km from Lake Baikal.

Project: Intertech provided a turnkey central laboratory renovation.
Intertech partnered with AECC to design and engineer the complete renovation of the central laboratory and administrative offices while complying with Russian building code.
Intertech provided Total Project Management for the project as well as all materials and labor.
The project included demolition and reconstruction of the existing laboratory, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing (HEP), and mechanical works. Civil works included all new doors, windows, floors, framing, drywall, and finishing. Safety and security systems were included.
The laboratory renovation also provided new fume hoods, sinks, laboratory furniture, and analytical instrumentation.
The project was completed on time and within budget.
